The First Steps

1.) Free Consultation
At We Heart Pets, we are dedicated to providing the best care for all of our pets and pet parents. To ensure every pet receives a personalized experience that meets all of their needs, we require new clients to schedule a free 30-minute in-home consultation. As pet parents ourselves, we completely understand that the pets we care for are more than just "pets," they're family. Our detailed and attentive care shows how much we value that bond.

If scheduling a consultation isn’t possible before your first visit, or if you require same-day booking, please reach out to us.
In these situations, we’ll arrange a brief phone or video call to review our pet care contract and gather the essential details for your visit. We are also able to accommodate same-day bookings if we have availability.
2.) What to expect during the Consultation
We'll visit your home for a 30-minute session to:
-
Meet you and your pets in their home environment.
-
Collect detailed notes about your pet’s routine, behaviors, medical history, and all of their specific care needs.
-
Take photos of essential items like bowls, leashes, food locations, and litter boxes.
-
Familiarize ourselves with both you and your pet(s)' needs and routine.
-
Discuss home access details and care instructions.
-
Answer your questions and ensure we’re fully prepared to care for your pet.
-
Review our pet care agreement and, if you're ready, complete it together on-site.
*Medication administration is always included at no extra cost.
3.) Need same-day booking?
If you’re unable to schedule a Consultation before your first visit or need urgent care, we’re happy to accommodate same-day requests when we have availability.
For first-time visits without a prior in-person Consultation:
-
A minimum 30-minute visit is required to ensure proper care (This requirement gives our animal care specialists time to locate any essential pet items such as bowls and litter, as well as administering medication if needed.)
-
We’ll schedule a brief phone or video call to go over your pet’s needs and our forms. We require our Pet Agreement form to be signed before the first visit begins.
-
We kindly request photos of all essential items (bowls, leashes, etc.) to be sent to us via email or phone before the visit begins.
4.) What we need before care begins:
To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, we require:

-
Up-to-date rabies vaccination records for each pet.
-
A signed Pet Agreement Form and Emergency Authorization Form, in case urgent care is ever needed.
